Here are a few Chrome extensions that will allow for smoother surfing while riding the internet wave.
Adblock Plus--blocks all/most ads while on sites
Clearly--creates readable documents on any webpage. Gets rid of all external ads and print. Users are able to clip items to Evernote, annotate pages, and print. This comes in particularly handy for students who have trouble focusing.
HTTPS Everywhere--ensures that the communication between your computer and any website (server) is secure.
One Tab--this extension is for those of us who have too many tabs open at once. When clicked, all open tabs in Chrome (unless they are pinned) will close and be put in list form. Tabs can be re-opened one at a time, or all at once.
Last Pass--is a online password manager and auto form filler. Your passwords are encrypted so that not even Last Pass can access them.
Beyond extensions, Google Drive continues to amaze me on a daily basis. It can be used on so many levels with students. Here is a great Glog that I found via Edudemic.
